With the holidays coming up, now is the perfect time to hop in your car and head out for an antiquing getaway at our Minnesota bed and breakfast. There are a good half-dozen fine antique shops within an easy drive of Spicer Minnesota, and many more dot the roads between St. Cloud or Minneapolis and Green Lake Minnesota.

Giving gifts feels good and is generous, whether you buy those gifts at a box store or make them yourself. I enjoy shopping for gifts at quirky antique shops, where I am pretty sure I’ll stumble across something unique. I’ve found funky clothes, interesting books and spectacular picture frames at antique shops. Sometimes I offer the items I’ve found as they are, and sometimes I adapt them into my own creation. No matter what, there is always an interesting story of long drives or fascinating shopkeepers to share with the gift.
Take advantage of the mid-week special at our Minesota bed and breakfast while you are on your antiquing adventure. Shops tend to be a little less crowded during the week, so it is easier to comb through them and find a treasure. Travel with your sweetie, or make it a girlfriend’s getaway and shop for your sweetie. Remember to take afternoon tea at the inn, where you may learn about a shop that you won’t want to miss, and let this year be a year you truly enjoy giving gifts.
