Today it is raining and overcast in Spicer, Minnesota and I am excited because Spring is near. My thoughts turn to the anticipation of seeing the first crocus peak through the ground.
At our Minnesota Inn we are blessed to be located along the beautiful shores of Green Lake on a five acre natural park like setting. Summer is a great time of year in Central Minnesota with boating, swimming, fishing, biking, birding, bonfire’s, s’mores, sandcastles and catching lightning bugs at our MN bed and breakfast inn.

There is a variety of outdoor and indoor activities, such as, 6 miles of groomed trails for snowshoeing, cross country skiing (snow shoe and cross country ski rental available), 40 ft. climbing wall to name a few fun winter events. Located approximately 10 miles from our Inn on Lake Florida.

One of my fondest halloween memories is when we were living in a remote mining town in Indonesia where Halloween was unheard of. My mother wanted my brother and I to have fun, and she knew I enjoyed trick or treating, somehow my mom informed the towns people of this American tradition and that night in the rain, wearing my witch costume that my mom had dyed black with hair dye , I left a trial of black bubbles where ever I went trick or treating, laughing and having a great time.
