Tonight as I am bundled in a cozy blanket and enjoying a steaming cup of peppermint tea I can hear the wind outside rustling through the leaves. The air is crisp and the trees are turning crimson red and bright yellow ~ fall is here!

Be sure to bring your camera as the sunsets are magnificent over Green Lake. John Spicer, who built this grand lake home in 1895 selected this spot for the sunsets and during the autumn season when the moon is full the reflection on the water it is truly transpiring. Only in Minnesota do the seasons change so rapidly, now as I am looking out the window I see the Amur Maple tree is a splendid red color and there is a chance of snow flurries Friday night.
I am excited for the fall season and the opportunity to introduce our wood fire dinners to you. We are offering 12 Pepper Seasoned Sirloin, Herb Pork Loin with Dijon Sauce, Chicken Breast with Italian Marinade and Shrimp Skewers. To top off your dining exeprience you will want to sample our Roasted Apple with Caramel Sauce and Ice Cream, Pumpkin Cheesecake or Ultimate Brownie Torte.

You can make your reservation just for dinner or if you are looking for a fun getaway include a night or two at our historic bed and breakfast Inn along the shores of beautiful Green Lake. Fall is a beautiful season and the splendor of the sunsets across Green Lake was the reason John Spicer selected this location to build his lake home.
