We are excited to announce our new fall Spicer Castle Inn Fall Wood Fire Dinners. You can make your reservation just for dinner or if you are looking for a fun getaway include a night or two at our historic bed and breakfast Inn along the shores of beautiful Green Lake. The colors are just starting to show their autumn splendor – now is a great time to visit our Inn and enjoy the outdoors.
Fall is a beautiful season and the splendor of the sunsets across Green Lake was the reason John Spicer selected this location to build his lake home. There are 18 guestrooms, several with double whirlpool tubs and showers, fireplaces, coffeemakers, refirgerators and microwaves. Afternoon tea and a four-course breakfast are included with your stay.

Lodging Special for any guestroom (excluding John’s Cottage and Raymond’s Cabin). Enjoy relaxing in a double whirlpool while you watch the flames dance in the fireplace.
Looking for some laughs and great food? Than our murder mystery dinner is just the ticket held Friday and Saturday or reserve your murder mystery lunch or dinner with a minimum of 8 guests any day of the week.
Looking for something to do? Go biking or walking on the paved trails, don’t want to bring your bike, rent one at the nearby Spicer Bike & Sports. Visit Sibley State Park or try your luck at mini golf at the Big Kahuna Fun Park. Sit by the shore and read a good book, check out the local Glacial Ridge Winery, go canoeing along the shore of Green Lake, try your luck at shore fishing, shop at the nearby stores or catch a movie at the Twin Spin Cinema to name a few of the many things to do in our area.

Mid-week travelers (Sunday through Wednesday night) grill your dinner overlooking beautiful Green Lake ~ choose from 8 oz. sirloin, 6 oz. chicken breast, 8 oz. pork loin, 2 bratwurst or 2 quarter pound hamburgers, Per Person! We will provide the baked potato with all the fixings, salad, rolls and beverage. Afternoon tea and breakfast will be waiting for you. *Excludes John’s Cottage and Raymond’s Cabin. There is plenty of snow for snowmobiling, cross country skiing and snow shoeing. You can bring your snowmobile or outdoor equipment and make your own path from our Inn Or, located approximatley 6 miles from our Inn is the Prairie Woods Environmental Learning Center with groomed trails and equipment rental (skis and snow shoes), along with several fun activities. The groomed 36 mile Glacial Ridge Trail is popular for snowmobiling and meanders through prairies and wooded terrain.
Afterwards, enjoy a hot cup of tea or hot chocolate followed by a fabulous dinner and dessert. Relax in a double whirlpool tub while you watch the flames dance in the fireplace in one of our 18 guestrooms. Play a board game or read a good book while you cozy up with your loved one. In the morning enjoy a four-course breakfast with entrees such as broccoli, cheese and sausage egg strata with marinara sauce, eggs benedict or Belgian waffles.

You can reserve for the murder mystery dinner or the murder mystery package that includes lodging in one of our guestrooms and enjoy an evening soaking in a double whirlpool tub as you watch the flames dance in the fireplace.
The entrees include rosemary pork loin with dijon cream sauce, chicken picatta, scallops and shrimp in our alfredo sauce served on a bed of angel hair pasta along with vegetarian options for you to select from.

We will be decorating our Inn for the holiday season this coming week. If you have a chance, be sure to stop by and get a glimpse of this grand old home dressed in its Christmas finery. The twinkling lights, crackling fire and smell of cookies baking will lift your spirits at this joyous time of year. Laughter, fun and great food combined with our gracious hospitality are the ingredients for wonderful memories for years to come.
A few of our holiday entrees are porcini-encrusted beef tenderloin with fresh herb butter, rosemary pork loin with dijon cream sauce, chicken picatta, shrimp and scallops in alfredo sauce served on a bed of pasta and asiago cheese and basil ravioli to name a few of our favorites. Everyone who dines at our Inn during the holiday season will receive a complimentary dessert, butter pecan pound cake with spiced rum hard sauce. The joy of innkeeping is welcoming our guests to the Spicer Castle and from time to time we like to share their comments with you. “This has been an amazing time. We love it here. You did a fantastic job at making us feel welcome and special. The food was superb. Don’t change anything! It’s great just like it is. The swinging bed was an unusual treat, very comfortable.”
