Tonight as I am bundled in a cozy blanket and enjoying a steaming cup of peppermint tea I can hear the wind outside rustling through the leaves. The air is crisp and the trees are turning crimson red and bright yellow ~ fall is here!

Be sure to bring your camera as the sunsets are magnificent over Green Lake. John Spicer, who built this grand lake home in 1895 selected this spot for the sunsets and during the autumn season when the moon is full the reflection on the water it is truly transpiring. Thanksgiving is a wonderful holiday because it provides a day to reflect on our blessings, spend time with loved ones and enjoy a great meal.
This year we are serving a traditional Thanksgiving dinner with all the trimmings on Thanksgiving Day, Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 5:00 pm each day. The table will be set with linen tablecloths and napkins along with our gold rim china all for $19.00 per person.
If you would like to make it a getaway, stay the night in one of our 18 guestrooms and enjoy our $99.00 lodging special* where you can play board games, cards, sit by the bonfire and roast s’mores as you share stories, hike on the 5+ acres of wooded grounds or the paved 12 mile trail around the lake and create fun memories with your loved ones. Only in Minnesota do the seasons change so rapidly, now as I am looking out the window I see the Amur Maple tree is a splendid red color and there is a chance of snow flurries Friday night.
I am excited for the fall season and the opportunity to introduce our wood fire dinners to you. We are offering 12 Pepper Seasoned Sirloin, Herb Pork Loin with Dijon Sauce, Chicken Breast with Italian Marinade and Shrimp Skewers. To top off your dining exeprience you will want to sample our Roasted Apple with Caramel Sauce and Ice Cream, Pumpkin Cheesecake or Ultimate Brownie Torte.

We are excited to announce our new fall Spicer Castle Inn Fall Wood Fire Dinners. You can make your reservation just for dinner or if you are looking for a fun getaway include a night or two at our historic bed and breakfast Inn along the shores of beautiful Green Lake. The colors are just starting to show their autumn splendor – now is a great time to visit our Inn and enjoy the outdoors.
Fall is a beautiful season and the splendor of the sunsets across Green Lake was the reason John Spicer selected this location to build his lake home. There are 18 guestrooms, several with double whirlpool tubs and showers, fireplaces, coffeemakers, refirgerators and microwaves. Afternoon tea and a four-course breakfast are included with your stay.

Summer is coming!
It is a beautiful day in Spicer, Minnesota. The temperature is 60 degrees and the piles of snow are quickly disintegrating. Our thoughts turn to summer fun! We have a wonderful time at our Inn welcoming guests from all over the world. The Spicer Castle Belle is an enjoyable and relaxing evening, where you can enjoy a leisurely tour of beautiful Green Lake while dining on a wonderful dinner. The tour and dinner takes approximately 2.5 hours.
