On Beautiful Green Lake
This Halloween you can dress up in a costume, act silly, laugh out-loud and enjoy great food in our hilarious interactive Murder Mystery Dinner offered Friday and Saturday nights beginning at 8:00 pm. Let’s get excited about the idea of having fun, like we did when we were young! I remember Halloween as a night filled with friends, fun and acting silly. One of my fondest halloween memories is when we were living in a remote mining town in Indonesia where Halloween was unheard of. My mother wanted my brother and I to have fun, and she knew I enjoyed trick or treating, somehow my mom informed the towns people of this American tradition and that night in the rain, wearing my witch costume that my mom had dyed black with hair dye , I left a trial of black bubbles where ever I went trick or treating, laughing and having a great time.
This Halloween get your family and friends together and make it a MN weekend getaway at our unusual bed and breakfast inn with 17 guestrooms, several of which features a double whirlpool tub and fireplace. Save on lodging with our $99 last minute deal that includes afternoon tea, one nights lodging (excluding John’s Cottage or Raymond’s Cabin) and a four-course breakfast. Sit by the bonfire telling tales and making s’mores.
Things to do in our area: visit our local winery, Glacial Ridge Winery, dress in a costume, go for a haunted hayride, sample wines and have fun at the Wicked Party on Friday, October 30th. Before you head out for an evening of fun enjoy a wonderful Wood Fire Dinner seated in our lakeside dining room. Stroll through the Willmar Jaycees Haunted House, visit Long Lake Antiques, Sibley State Park, Prairie Woods Environmental Learning Center, Three Sisters Amish Furniture Store, Agape Coffee House, Mill Pond Mercantile, Bead Jam Store, Twin Spin Cinema or the Bison Ranch.
Getaway to central Minnesota. Join us at the Inn. Unique bed and breakfast inn, lots of fun, last minute getaway … its a deal. See you soon! Call our reservation hotline. 1-800-821-6675. Or visit us online at http://www.spicercastle.com/index.html

Fall into fall
Labor Day is almost upon us, and with it comes shorter days, cooler weather, and outrageous fall color. When you are driving to work on a glorious fall day, do you ever feel the urge to jump out of the car and get into nature? When next that feeling strikes you, give us a call and plan a getaway to our bed and breakfast in central Minnesota.
Nestled in the woods on the shores of Green Lake, our Central Minnesota bed and breakfast is an ideal spot to immerse yourself in the blaze of autumn foliage. On warm days, the water still invites you to take off your shoes and roll up your pants. On chilly days, you just feel like putting on a cozy sweater and heading out into the woods. When you return to our central MN b&b, you can find a warm spot in front of the fireplace to enjoy a book, a cup of tea, or a snuggle.
Guests enjoy strolling the expansive grounds of our lakefront lodging. If you feel more energetic, nearby DNR Glacial Lakes Trail offers over 25 miles of paved trails through the Minnesota woods and prairie lands. This is the place to experience the serene beauty of our region. Though we are a short drive from St. Cloud and Minneapolis/St. Paul, we feel a world away. Don’t hesitate. Plan your getaway today.
