Thanksgiving is a wonderful holiday because it provides a day to reflect on our blessings, spend time with loved ones and enjoy a great meal.
This year we are serving a traditional Thanksgiving dinner with all the trimmings on Thanksgiving Day, Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 5:00 pm each day. The table will be set with linen tablecloths and napkins along with our gold rim china all for $19.00 per person.
If you would like to make it a getaway, stay the night in one of our 18 guestrooms and enjoy our $99.00 lodging special* where you can play board games, cards, sit by the bonfire and roast s’mores as you share stories, hike on the 5+ acres of wooded grounds or the paved 12 mile trail around the lake and create fun memories with your loved ones. Afterwards, soak in a double whirlpool tub while you watch the flames dance in the fireplace. Enjoy afternoon tea and four-course breakfast.

Add our wood fire dinner, $10.00 per person grill your own or $19.95 per person chef prepared. All entrees include: cranberry walnut salad, rolls, parmesan potato wedges, acorn squash and parsnip medley or roasted carrots. Your choice of: sirloin steak, roasted chicken breast, rosemary pork loin or shrimp skewer. Dessert choices: roasted apples with caramel sauce and ice cream, ultimate brownie torte ala mode or pumpkin cheesecake with caramel bourbon sauce. Beverages: coffee, tea, hot chocolate, chai tea, soda or we have our wine and beer list available.
While your at our B&B you can go hiking or biking on the paved trail, relax in a whirlpool tub while you watch the flames dance in the fireplace, take our canoe out and and view the shores of Green Lake, sit by our bonfire and roast s’mores as you tell tales, visit scenic Sibley State Park, Glacial Ridge Winery,or Twin Spin Cinema.

We are excited to announce our new fall Spicer Castle Inn Fall Wood Fire Dinners. You can make your reservation just for dinner or if you are looking for a fun getaway include a night or two at our historic bed and breakfast Inn along the shores of beautiful Green Lake. The colors are just starting to show their autumn splendor – now is a great time to visit our Inn and enjoy the outdoors.
Fall is a beautiful season and the splendor of the sunsets across Green Lake was the reason John Spicer selected this location to build his lake home. There are 18 guestrooms, several with double whirlpool tubs and showers, fireplaces, coffeemakers, refirgerators and microwaves. Afternoon tea and a four-course breakfast are included with your stay.

Visit Sibley State Park or try your luck at mini golf at the Big Kahuna Fun Park. It’s finally here – the Fourth of July Celebration! For me this brings back memories from my childhood of the Spicer Parade and all the festivities during the day with the spectacular fireworks over beautiful Green Lake at dusk. Equally important is to give thanks to those brave people who serve in our armed forces and their families.
If you have never been to Spicer over the Fourth of July - then this is your year! Afterall you made it through another Minnesota winter and you deserve a fun getaway in the summer sun.

As an innkeeper one of the most rewarding experiences is knowing that we provide a place where our guests can meet new friends, enjoy great food, laugh, make smores at the firepit, read a book or put a puzzle together and walk the paths and view the spectacular fall colors. How about an evening of fine dining, relaxing in a bubbly hot whirlpool tub with the glow of the fireplace dancing nearby to help you unwind from your busy week. For dinner we are offering our hilarious interactive murder mystery dinner or a candlelit dinner for two. On the menu is our bacon wrapped beef tenderloin with Madeira sauce and sauteed mushrooms, Minnesota walleye and wild rice with walnut mushroom sauce, artichoke chicken alfredo and asiago cheese and basil ravioli. For dessert there is a chocolate decadence cheesecake with hot fudge sauce and whipped cream, turtle sundaes or apple crisp ala mode.
After breakfast, why not head over to the Glacial Ridge Winery for their 2nd Annual Grape Stomp? This is an all day event, there will be a grape stomping contest, prizes, food, games, vendors, live music, crafts and wine. The winery is located approximately 5 miles from our Inn.
